Our Mission

We bring together, and leverage the influence of, professional women to expand the impact and power of women in the workplace and beyond.

Our Vision

Women will achieve equitable representation in leadership, influence, and power in the workplace, their homes and their communities.

Our History

The Forum is a membership organization of over 600 women who hold the senior-most positions in the corporations, not-for-profit organizations and public sector entities that drive our regional economy and community. The Forum was founded in 1977 as a connecting point for the handful of Philadelphia-area women in corporate leadership roles. In 2024, what sets The Forum apart is its legacy, caliber of membership, and commitment to women in leadership.

As Philadelphia's Leading Professional Women's Organization, The Forum works to:

  • Make the voices of women leaders heard

  • Provide a venue for the exchange of views and information

  • Advance the cause of parity in the corporate world

  • Support members for leadership roles

  • Facilitate director roles on corporate boards

  • Promote the contributions and skills of Forum members

  • Mentor junior women as they advance in their careers

  • Serve as a source of influential contact, business referrals and remarkable friendships

The Forum of Executive Women is focused on the following guiding principles:

  • Inclusion: We are dedicated to growing our welcoming, diverse, engaging, and caring community that is bound together by our common purpose.

  • Advancement: We work strategically and collaboratively to connect individuals, resources, opportunities, and networks to advance women’s individual, professional, and shared goals.

  • Equity: We are committed to amplifying the voices of all women, including women who have been historically marginalized and oppressed, and to ensuring that we create equitable opportunities for all women.

  • Advocacy: We use our collective influence to address the structural barriers that limit women’s professional advancement.
